Representatives from the Los Angeles Community College (LACCD) District thanked Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) for her ongoing support of federal funding for higher education and discussed issues facing students of the Los Angeles Community College District. The District is the largest community college district in the United States and one of the largest in the world. The District's headquarters is located Downtown in the congresswoman's district. The District consists of nine colleges, including Los Angeles Trade-Technical College in Downtown, East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park and its satellite site, the South Gate Educational Center.
