Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard visited the Walgreens pharmacy for an informal tour of the pharmacy

Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (left) visited the Walgreens pharmacy located in Bellflower at 9031 Rosecrans Avenue. Tiffany Huynh, Walgreens District Pharmacy Supervisor (second left), Bill Diamant, Walgreens Pharmacy Manager (right), and Art Ruiz, Store Manager (second on right), gave the congresswoman an informal tour of the pharmacy and talked about the role community pharmacies play in helping maintain patient health. As a member of the Appropriations Health Subcommittee, the congresswoman is supportive of key federal issues of importance to community pharmacies. Her efforts include making generics more affordable to pharmacies and patients, and minimizing the impact of planned future federal cuts to pharmacy reimbursements through Medicaid, the program that funds prescriptions for low-income patients.
