Each art entry is judged on four criteria: originality, technical skill, artistic presentation and use of color and contrast.
All 179 entries submitted for the 16th Annual Student Art Competition are currently on display at the Pico House Gallery at the historical Olvera Street site until May 24th. El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, also known as Olvera Street, is located near Downtown Los Angeles between Main and Los Angeles streets and the 101 Freeway and Cesar Chavez Avenue. Entrance is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
