Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) and her husband, Mr. Edward Allard, (shown on right) welcomed California State University Chancellor Charles B. Reed (shown on left) to Capitol Hill during its Hill Day event to promote the system’s federal priorities among members of Congress.
During the lobbying day, the chancellor was joined by CSU trustees, campus presidents, governmental affairs officials and student association leaders who visited members’ offices to garner support in our nation’s capital for key programs that help their students such as full funding for Pell Grants and other forms of federal financial aid. A 1965 graduate of the California State University at Los Angeles, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard commended the chancellor and his team for their commitment to academic excellence.
