At a dinner gala at the Omni Hotel in Downtown, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard (CA-34) presents congressional record tributes to the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco on the occasion of the order’s 100 years of dedicated service to young people across the country.  In the 34th Congressional District, the Sisters established St. Dominic Savio School in Bellflower, which opened in 1956.  The Salesian Sisters also operate St. Mary’s Catholic School in Boyle Heights. In addition, the Sisters previously operated St. Gertrude’s School in Bell Gardens for 30 years.   To read the full congressional record tribute, please click here.
