Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) congratulates members of the Southeast District Bar Association at its 46th annual installation of officers and awards banquet at the Rio Hondo Country Club in Downey.  During the ceremony, the congresswoman thanked the association’s outgoing president John Bunnett for his contributions.  She also recognized: Downey attorney Joseph Lumsdaine who was named the association’s Attorney of the Year (photo, shown  on left); the association’s incoming president Lillian Vega Jacobs (photo, shown third from left); and the Honorable Larry S. Knupp, Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, who received the association’s Lifetime Judicial Award (photo, on right). The association provides an attorney directory and referral service to help the public find an experienced lawyer for their legal problems.  The association serves the Southeast Los Angeles County area, including the Cities of Norwalk, Downey, Whittier, Pico Rivera, La Mirada, Bellflower, South Gate, Huntington Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Commerce, Vernon, La Habra, Lakewood, Hacienda Heights, Industry and La Puente.
