Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) visited with more than 100 senior citizens from the 55+ Fun Club at their annual holiday celebration held at the Bell Community Service Center.

During the congresswoman’s remarks, she provided seniors with an overview of her constituent casework services available through her Downtown district office at (213) 628-9230.  The congresswoman reminded constituents about important Medicare deadlines and the upcoming Digital Television Transition deadline, which is February 17, 2009.  After that date, she told the audience, broadcasters will air digital signals exclusively and televisions that rely on a rooftop antenna or “rabbit ears” will no longer work properly.
