Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard met with members of the medical research community to discuss federally-funded health research projects in Los Angeles being done at the Southern California Environmental Health Sciences Center located in Boyle Heights in the 34th District. USC Keck School of Medicine Dean Dr. Carmen Puliafito provided a broad overview of USC’s commitment to environmental health research and the importance of federal funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences at the National Institutes of Health.
