Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) meets with members of the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council who were in our nation’s capital for the national organization’s 100th Anniversary legislative conference. The members discussed a wide-range of issues affecting construction workers in a variety of fields, including worker safety, protection of union workers against intimidation by non-union workers, and making sure construction workers who are misclassified as independent contractors are classified correctly as salaried employees and receive the pay and benefits they deserve.
