Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent David L. Brewer, III, L.A. Board of Education President Mónica García (on right), and Board of Education Vice President Yolie Flores Aguilar (second on right) met with Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) to express their support for provisions in the proposed reauthorization bill of No Child Left Behind that assist children who are learning English, as well as to offer constructive suggestions regarding how to improve the bill and create a better future for the district’s students.
