Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) signs the Divided We Fail pledge, committing to create meaningful bipartisan solutions to the health care and financial security crises plaguing America. As part of a coordinated effort by the organizations of Divided We Fail -- AARP, Business Roundtable and SEIU -- more than 800 employers, workers and retirees fanned out across Capitol Hill on July 25 to meet with their elected officials and ask them to sign the pledge. By the end of the day, 86 lawmakers signed on. Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard met with Los Angeles County AARP representatives, including Antoine Cook of Bellflower (pictured in the left photo) looking on as the congresswoman signs the pledge.
