Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard meets with Dr. James Newman, a NASA Astronaut, who is a veteran of four space flights that totaled more than 43 days in space, including six spacewalks. As part of NASA advocacy day, Dr. Newman visited Members of Congress to discuss NASA's vision for space exploration. He also advocated on behalf of federal funding for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, where research and development into robotic planetary exploration are conducted, and the Dryden Flight Research Center in California's Mojave Desert, where cutting edge flight and aerospace research takes place.
