Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard met with Rebecca Luna of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), Angel City Branch No.24, to discuss federal legislation of importance to federal postal workers, including helping certain federal employees to keep more of their Social Security benefits by repealing the windfall elimination provision and the government pension offset affecting spousal benefits. Founded in 1889, NALC is the union of city letter carriers employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Letter carriers delivered 203 billion pieces of mail last year, six days a week, to over 138 million homes and businesses in every city, suburb and town in America.
