Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard visited the opening reception for the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles’ Chinese New Year Festival and 108th Annual Golden Dragon Parade. At the reception held outside at the corner of Cesar Chavez Avenue and Broadway in Chinatown , Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed Reyes thanked Congresswoman Roybal-Allard for her support of Blossom Plaza in Chinatown, a project that is being constructed near the Chinatown Gold Line Metro Rail Station with the expectation it will spur neighborhood economic development. In Fiscal Year 2002, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard secured $3.25 million in federal funding for a parking facility at Blossom Plaza at 900 North Broadway.
