During the ceremony, the congresswoman said, “When the new school is completed, it will help ease overcrowding at Roosevelt and help give our students the attention in the classroom that they deserve. Not only will this new school help create a healthy learning environment, but it will provide students with enhanced learning opportunities as well …I am very excited that we are taking this great step forward to fulfill our responsibility to educate our children in quality schools and to create the next generation of our country’s leaders."
