Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanked members of the Maywood City Council for honoring her for her work in Congress on behalf of the community. As part of the 34th Congressional District, the congresswoman has represented Maywood since 1993. Among her efforts on behalf of Maywood residents, the congresswoman who sits on the Appropriations Committee secured federal funding for the city's sewer repairs, two vans for the city's shuttle service, and $1.6 million for the area Dial-a-Ride program to transport seniors and people with disabilities in Maywood, Cudahy, Bell and Commerce.
