Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) joined the Bell Gardens City Council members to celebrate the Village Square Shopping Center Grand Opening. The City of Bell Gardens honored the congresswoman by inviting her to lead the ribbon cutting ceremony. The congresswoman congratulated the City of Bell Gardens and Primestor Development on their successful public/private partnership. Village Square will serve Bell Gardens and surrounding cities and will provide approximately 270 jobs for local residents. During the celebration, the congresswoman also visited with students from Special Angels USA International, a non-profit organization which provides art classes and fun activities for youth with mental and physical disabilities. Artwork created by Special Angels will be on display at the Village Square Shopping Center.
