City of Bell Gardens' Director of Recreation and Community Services Pamela Yugar (shown on right) thanks Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) for her assistance in securing $35,000 in federal funds for the city's new computer lab which opened in March and can be used by the city's residents at no charge. Recreation Leader Eduardo Osuna provides free instruction on the lab's 15 computers ranging in skill level from basic keyboarding to word processing. Each class is limited to one student per computer. Located at 6423 Florence Place Suite 101 in Bell Gardens, class sessions last six-to-eight weeks and are geared toward students starting at seven years of age to adults. Open computer lab hours are Fridays from 7 to 8 p.m. Two additional computers are also available in the center's lobby for use free of charge on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-6 p.m. and Wednesday-Friday, 3-8 p.m. Learn more by calling the City of Bell Gardens Recreation and Community Services Department at (562) 806-7650.
