Salvador Hernandez of South Fresh Fruit, Inc. (pictured left) shows Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) some of the fruits and vegetables he sells at the Alameda Produce Market, which she toured with the property's owner and developer, Richard Meruelo, (pictured right) who is chairman of MerueloMaddux Properties. The congresswoman was also briefed and shown drawings of MerueloMaddux's current and future development plans for the company's downtown headquarters and other local properties. The Alameda Produce Market is located at Seventh and Alameda streets.
