Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanks Noel Mendoza of the City of Bell in the 34th Congressional District in Los Angeles County and Amanda Koons of Alexandria, VA for their helpful assistance as interns in her Washington, D.C. office this summer. A sophomore at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in our nation’s capital, Noel is one of approximately 24 students from throughout the country participating in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Washington, D.C. internship program. Amanda Koons is a junior at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia majoring in history and government. As interns in the congresswoman’s office, Noel and Amanda perform a wide variety of tasks, such as drafting letters, conducting legislative research, attending legislative briefings as well as other office administrative duties.
