Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanked Stephen Abanise, of the Westlake neighborhood in Los Angeles, for his assistance in her Los Angeles District Office during his 9-week summer internship that ends August 14. Stephen received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the California State University, Long Beach. He is currently working toward a master’s in Social Work and a Pupil Personnel Services credential at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Following his graduation from USC, Stephen plans to attend law school and one day enter public service. While working in the congresswoman's district office, Stephen has performed a wide variety of tasks, including assisting in events coordination and conducting healthcare-related research. He has also accompanied field staff to meetings and briefings throughout the 34th Congressional District.
