Families, athletes and officials of the Special Olympics and Best Buddies California programs traveled to our nation’s capital to garner federal support for both organizations. Special Olympics International is dedicated to growing quality sports training and competition programs, thereby enabling more children, young adults and adults with intellectual disabilities to train and compete in their choice of 26 sports programs offered by the Special Olympics. Best Buddies International is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and development disabilities.
