Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) met with members of the Cerritos-based Rancho Southeast Association of Realtors (RSAOR). The members were in Washington, D.C. for the National Association of Realtors Mid-Year Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo. The group discussed legislation to make property and flood insurance more widely available and affordable and efforts in Congress to strengthen the Federal Housing Administration to protect affordable, safe financing for American families. They also advocated for the restructuring of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to ensure liquidity in mortgage lending. In the 34th Congressional District, the 83-year-old trade association serves Bell, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Cudahy, Downey, Huntington Park, and Maywood.
