Huntington Park Resident Particpates in Leadership Internship Program
Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) congratulates Huntington Park resident Gricelda Ceja (shown left) during her visit to our nation’s capital as part of the Public Leadership Education Network’s Women and Public Policy Internship program. The national organization prepares college women for careers in public policy and public leadership. Also pictured, Kristina Hamilton, the network’s program manager. Gricelda attended Bell High School and is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. As part of the program, she also met with other women in leadership positions at federal agencies, private companies, policy research and advocacy organizations, and the media. They included Lisa Maatz, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations, American Association of University Women; Seema Jalan, Senior Manager, Policy and Government Affairs, Women Thrive Worldwide; and Dr. Sarah Brewer of the Office of the Under Secretary of Public Diplomacy & Public Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
