Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanked Valerie Gomez of Downey for her assistance in her Los Angeles District Office during her 9-week summer internship that ended on August 25th. Valerie, a graduate of Warren High School, is transferring this fall from Cerritos Community College to UCLA, where she will be majoring in Anthropology. While working in the congresswoman's office, Valerie performed a wide variety of tasks including researching learning opportunities available to young people in the area.
