Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanked Valerie Gomez of Downey for her assistance in her Los Angeles District Office during her 9-week summer internship that ended on August 25th. Valerie, a graduate of Warren High School, is transferring this fall from Cerritos Community College to UCLA, where she will be majoring in Anthropology. While working in the congresswoman's office, Valerie performed a wide variety of tasks including researching learning opportunities available to young people in the area. She also accompanied the congresswoman and field staff to meetings and briefings throughout the 34th Congressional District.
