Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) thanks local law enforcement officers and firefighters for their hard work and dedication to protect our communities at a Downtown lunch appreciation event attended by more than 300 people. A longtime advocate of first responders, the congresswoman shared recent accomplishments in Congress on behalf of the men and women charged with keeping our communities safe, including the final passage into law of the Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act in August that prevented the layoffs of many police officers and firefighters nationwide.
