Chairwoman Roybal-Allard Announces FEMA Grant for LA’s Great Plates COVID-19 Meal Delivery
Today, House Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee Chairwoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $1.5 million in funding to the City of Los Angeles to support Great Plates COVID-19 meal delivery. As chairwoman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, Chairwoman Roybal-Allard oversees FEMA funding.
“As our communities fight the COVID-19 pandemic, we must ensure that our vulnerable populations, including seniors, can receive the nutrition they need without having to risk their health by going outside,” said Chairwoman Roybal-Allard. “That’s why I thank FEMA for this grant to help keep Los Angeles seniors fed and safe during this health crisis. I urge FEMA to continue providing our communities with critical funding to protect residents in this pandemic.”
